Welcome

The Dominican Republic is on the island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles in the Caribbean. It takes up 5/8’s of the island it shares with Haiti. It is the second largest country by area in the Antilles. The official language is Spanish. The Taino people inhabited the island when Christopher Colombus came in 1492 claiming it for Castile. The French gained dominion over Haiti in 1697. The Dominican Republic declared its independence in 1821. This then led to conflict with Haiti over control of the island. The Dominican Republic gained its independence from Haiti in 1844.
Since 1978 the Dominican Republic has moved toward a representative democracy. This period of stability has allowed the DR to become the largest economy in the Caribbean and Central American region. It is the most visited destination in the Caribbean. The Dominican Republic is 95% Christian and has a high degree of religious freedom.

Ministries

Church Planting

As an organization we work primarily to strengthen local churches. We believe that the church is the center from where the mission of preaching the gospel happens.
How we support church planting:

1. Supporting spiritual and financial church planters in the areas where we work.
2. Visiting, encouraging and praying for church planters.
3. Taking mission trips to help new churches grow.
4. Supporting the new plantations with social programs.
5. and finally assisting in the purchase of property and construction of the temple.

Currently we directly support three church planters in the Dominican Republic, with programs, construction and financial support.

Indirectly we support with conferences and resources a church association that encompasses 11 pastors, church planters.

RSR Online

Radio Stereo Resurreccion Online is a different format that, unlike its FM version, is talk radio that broadcasts 24 hours a day offering teachings, preaching, devotionals, advice for the family and more. It was begun in 2018 with the idea of providing an online radio 24 hours a day for the entire Spanish-speaking world that needs to hear the gospel. It is managed from the Dominican Republic by our missionary Jaime Blandon.

You can listen to the radio on the website www.radiostereoresurreccion.com by selecting RSR Online channel. This ministry currently reaches over 18,000 people each month and continues to grow in acceptance and audience. Listeners are located all over the world.

Conferences

One of the ways we support local churches is through pastoral conferences, leadership, marriages, and counseling.
The Lord has allowed us a vast number of pastors trained and passionate by the local church, who participate by dictating these conferences.

Church Planting

Our micro-finance ministry was established to fill a gap that exists in many economies. While banks exist, they cater to the upper class of society and to large businesses. For many small business owners, their only option for capital is individuals, most of which charge exorbitant interest rates. Further complicating the situation, in some countries, banks are effectively controlled by political parties, limiting access to those who choose not to affiliate. Our micro-finance ministry provides small loans to people wanting to start a business or those that already have a small business and want to expand. We have helped fund everything from donut shops to jewelry makers to welders and seamstresses.

While we try to be faithful stewards and run the ministry efficiently, we also recognize that we demonstrate the love and grace of Christ in everything we do. Proceeds from the ministry are used to pay salaries of the manager/missionary and expenses. We have been blessed with a very low default rate and have been able to help hundreds of people start or grow their business.
