Another Great Year
It is amazing to think we are coming to the close of our 5th year ministering to and educating the children of Palacaguina. Feels like we just began. Every year, it is incredible reflecting on all God continues to allow us to do each year.
Emily November Update
We had an exciting final month of English classes! We learned more animals, parts of the body, days of the week, and months of the year, and the kids memorized Joshua 1:9 in English.
November 2021 SSK Newsletter
Smiling School Kids will soon finish another school year and is now planning for the 2022 school year. SSK is the oldest consistent ministry of 516NOW. It is continuing to bless the lives of children and their families—first in Palacaguina and then in Diriamba, Nicaragua.
Emily October Update
While I know that many people back in the States have been enjoying the cooler weather and autumn colors, the change of season has not yet arrived here in the Dominican Republic.
Persistence, Prayer, and Provision
During our normal weekly meeting, we prayed. Reynaldo and I prayed for a critical need that could only be met through God. In order to open the school next year, we had an immediate need that had to met within only a few weeks. And how would we come up with $7,000 in 2 weeks!! We prayed.
It has not been in vain

Emily September Update
We started classes the first week in September. I was very nervous the first day, but it went really well! As I mentioned in my previous update, I’m teaching two days a week in a Haitian church in a town called Sombrero, and the other two days in a church in Bani.
Hope in the Valleys
God is good and there is hope simply in His goodness. This last month has seemed filled with valleys; both personal and in ministry. Difficulties, challenges, and struggles, Oh My! Regardless of how you characterize these valleys we face, it is incredibly encouraging to know that no matter what we face God is always with us. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us, especially in the valley.

September 2021 Update Newsletter
Jaime has been busy since his arrival and has been instrumental in reaching out and helping churches in the DR. Jaime met with Pastor Freddy Custodio who had already begun four churches and one of them needed a floor and a roof. Jaime and 516NOW assisted in raising funds to complete that church building.
Blessed to be Blessing
It is hard to believe we are already through 7 months of the school year. And with only 3 months left, what a wonderful school year it has been. We are extremely blessed to be serving and ministering to so many families and children at PCA.
