The Lord’s ministry begins

Reading: Luke 4:14-15

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.

After the temptation in the wilderness, the Lord begins his ministry, in Galilee. And in this pair of verses there are a couple of interesting elements to note.
He does it in the power of the Spirit: The Godhead is one. The Father, the Son, and the Spirit are One. The Trinity in fullness is at work for our salvation.
The fame of Jesus spread throughout the region. News of this man who began to preach and show great power spread quickly.
And he taught in his synagogues and was praised by all. At the beginning of his ministry, Jesus’ miracles and his message were received with enthusiasm and admiration.

MEDITATE: What will cause people’s attitude toward Jesus to change? How do we receive the Word of the Lord?
